The Brig is a light, two-masted warship, capacity: 150. While it is fully combat able, it is also light and fast, capable of quick maneuvers. Because of this, Brigs often doubled as both naval ships and merchant ships. Its versatility made it a very desired component of any fleet. While the brig was very popular among pirates due to its maneuverability, ironically, it was rare among Caribbean pirates. At least historically....but in POTBS this is not the case. It is a popular and versatile vessel. Eventually, the popularity of the brig declined, primarily due to its requirement for a large crew. At the age of the steamboat, this craft went into obscurity.
